Before you start the recognition process, there have been some significant changes to requirements that clubs must have in their Constitutions. They are:
- Reminder to see instructions on naming your club before creating your club.
- Please note that you MUST have 5 members and a full-time faculty or staff advisor.
- You will also be asked to identify at least 3 officers (in addition to 5 members) in your group as a part of the recognition process.
- For new clubs, check the What’s Required in Your Constitution page for information regarding the necessary requirements that must be included in your club’s constitution to become recognized.
- Clubs must detail how major decisions are made through a democratic process
- Clubs need to determine what quoroum is for meetings and elections
- The non-discrimination, hazing, and University compliance statements have been changed and every club needs to have these new ones in their governing documents.
