Weekly Update 9/7/25

Hey rocketeers!

Welcome to WREC's very first Weekly Update of the 25'-26' school year.
Here you'll find announcements, club news, and meeting times for the week (eventually including the basic rundown on what each team is doing).

We'll be sending this out every Sunday evening from here on so please be sure to read them as some announcements may not always go through on discord, instagram, or be posted to the website.


NEWS:

New Test Site Construction
Excited to announce that this Saturday, Sept. 13th, we'll be going to the new permanent test site to begin construction on the new static-fire test-mount!

RECOVERY TEST FLIGHT OCT. 3RD!
We're going back to FAR (Mojave, CA) on October 3rd to test our recovery system for the Sonoran Wildcat. This involves launching our recovery test vehicle and seeing if it can get back in one piece (fingers-crossed it does this time).

OUTREACH NEEDED
WREC's outreach team needs your help!
We're looking to expand our network greatly with more instagram posts, sponsorship packets/meetings, and videos (including livestreams from the rockets and test campaigns!).

If you have a background in anything art, video, business, or social-media related and are interested in joining the team, please email our outreach manager, Parker, or talk to him during the next general body meeting!
