Hey everyone, just wanted to welcome you all so far to the University of Arizona Motorcycle Club!
Just a little about myself my name is Giancarlo Esposito, I am a current senior studying MIS, Japanese and Italian. I am planning on being here for another year while I finish my graduate program. I have been riding for about 4 1/2 years mainly saddling boxer BMWs and also my ancient Suzuki 50cc supermoto! I am currently dailying in Tucson a 2008 BMW RGS1200 and use it for commuting, getting groceries, and touring around this beautiful state! Along with me are my other two club officers Jordan Allred and Jon Hsu who have experience ranging from sport to dirt riding.
My goal for this club is to get the club to be autonomous to the point that events and meetings can be not just coordinated by us club officers but members as well. Just a little history on the club, it was originally established in 2018 by our officer Jordan who saw a gap in the motorcycle community with students here and the normal Tucson population. With this desire to create an inclusive group run by UA students and faculty this club was born! Ever since, the name has been reserved but because of our busy lives we really didn't have the time to develop it to its fullest potential. Being my senior year, I want to create a community of riders based on safety and respect for eachother so that we can all learn to be better riders out in the real world! It's my goal to have all of us learn from each other in pursuit of being a smarter, safer and more skilled riders and able to take on all the BS that goes on out on public roads.
I want to invite all of you to join our facebook group: University of Arizona Motorcycle Club (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1066695237394607) while I take the time this semester to develop our official club website where we can all hopefully store all of our information, events and photos on there to share to the world. I welcome you all to feel free to reachout to your fellow UA riders, mingle and make impromptu rides on your own. I just rode up to PHX for the weekend for the Easter weekend but keep checking FB for more information on a official group ride coming next weekend.
At the end of the day this club can only be possible because of you all so feel free to reach out if you want to help support in any way! I am really excited for the potential of this group and what we can do together to make the most out of riding on two wheels. Please if you have any questions/recommendations/concerns please reachout to us on IG, FB and email.
Keep the rubber side down and enjoy the ride,
Giancarlo Esposito
