The Safety, Alignment, Future, & Ethics of AI (SAFEAI) club at the University of Arizona aims to promote research and best practices in technical AI safety & governance, focusing on reducing catastrophic and societal risks from advanced artificial intelligence. The group will provide educational resources, facilitate discussions, and support members in pursuing careers or further education in AI safety. The group will collaborate with other organizations and individuals working towards ensuring that advanced AI systems are developed and used in a safe, ethical, and beneficial manner.
