Mission
Capitalism has proven to be a system that exploits and creates misery for the working-class, while solely benefiting the elite ruling class. As students, faculty members, and people of the community in general, we believe in the replacement of this system of capitalism with the implementation of a socialist economy. We believe capitalism, its later stage of imperialism, in which we currently live, is inherently racist, sexist, oppressive, exploitative, and unable to fulfill and guarantee the needs of all people. We support all movements against US imperialism, revolutionary national liberation movements, and so forth. We support a nation's right to self-determination. We support democratic centralism as a form of organization. We believe a revolutionary party made up by the working-class, for the working-class, is necessary for unity in the struggle for socialism. We believe in socialism: a system where private property is nationalized by the working-class state, a system where the working-class, all oppressed and marginalized people are in control of the means of production and property in general. Students for Socialism, SFS, stands behind these goals wholly. We are a revolutionary Marxist-Leninist student organization.

The purpose of Students for Socialism at UA shall be:
1. To provide a means for students interested in socialism to meet and interact.
2. To act as a forum for the education, discussion, and appreciation of socialism; its theory, its contributions, and its history.
3. To provide a place for the recruitment of students into a revolutionary movement, as well as for the organizing and mobilizing of local working-class communities.
4. To oppose reactionary attitudes and behaviors at the University of Arizona by upholding and promoting the universal principles of socialism.
