About Us
Golden Lotus is a Vietnamese cultural dancing group established here at the University of Arizona in 2013. As a group we strive to integrate aspects of Vietnamese culture through a mix of traditional and modern dance. Through our dancing and traditional wear, we hope to cultivate a strong appreciation for Vietnamese culture. Golden Lotus has performed at various events throughout Tucson, such as Tucson Meet Yourself, the Crawfish Festival at Our Lady of La Vang Church, Miss Ao Dai at Amphitheater High, and the Vietnamese Student Association Culture Show and International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation Dinner at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center. We create various traditional dances through the usage of fans, straw hats, and ribbons. Our purpose is to create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all students, while celebrating Vietnamese culture.
