About Us

The History Graduate Association is a graduate student-led organization at the University of Arizona. Our goals include the following: 1. Representing and advocating for graduate student rights and concerns as well as engaging with the History Department and broader university community to promote transparent communication, togetherness, and solidarity. 2. Creating a community space for history graduate students to share experiences and learn from one another to mitigate anxiety, stress, and general emotional harm that may come from workload intensity; this includes, but is not limited to, hosting social events, developing grad-to-grad mentorship programs, and fundraising to benefit large scale events for graduate students to showcase their original research. 3. Engaging with history related organizations, such as Phi Alpha Theta, to facilitate networking, professional development, and community building.
