Come join the College of St. Felix, the University of Arizona's chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronisms! In a few words, we strive to keep the arts and sciences and cultures of the medieval period alive, the entire world over. We sit and chat, play games, socialize, learn fencing or hard suit fighting (wear an athletic cup if you wish to participate in learn swordfighting) with a field marshall, learn about different cultures all over the world. We learn and practice arts and crafts from different time periods. Different workshops we have held in the past at our weekly meetings: Arrow fletching, leather pouch making, pennacular brooch crafting, sewing and mending, celtic knotwork, embroidery, Bardic inspiration, court dancing, japanese tea ceremony, painting, calligraphy, garb making and playing various games. Come listen to us talk about various aspects of medieval life, culture, arts and crafts. Are you interested in learning something? Let us know and we will see if we can't get a guest speaker in to a future meeting on the topic. This club was started by college students 60 years ago and is now the 2nd largest non-profit educational entity with over 400,000 currently members around the world. Welcome to the current Middle Ages!
