Who We Are

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of Arizona is committed to promoting cultural and religious understanding among its members and the wider campus community. As a voice for Muslim students on campus, UAMSA aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel supported in their faith and identity.

As part of its mission, UAMSA works to increase confidence in the Islamic faith and heritage by offering educational and cultural events that celebrate the rich contributions of Muslim culture and history. The organization also serves as a platform for organizing religious and social activities—both on and off-campus—that reflect the values of Islam and benefit the university community.

By advocating for the needs and concerns of Muslim students, while also fostering dialogue with non-Muslim peers, faculty, and staff, UAMSA helps bridge the gap between religious life and academic life. Through this work, the organization empowers members to grow as active citizens and future leaders, while advancing mutual respect and cultural understanding across campus.

Members Benefits

Whether you're an international, out-of-state, or local student, the MSA provides members the opportunities for friendships to flourish by encouraging hangouts in an Islamic environment. As a member, you are also subject to networking with other Muslim students who are following the same academic/career path as you, gaining Islamic knowledge through our biweekly discussions, spreading dawah, increasing tolerance for Islam, as well as connecting with the Muslim community on campus.
