About Us

The Graduate Communities for Academic Fellowship and Efficacy (Grad CAFE) Community Leaders is a student-led, intersectional, interdisciplinary, multi-tiered mentoring program provided for first- and second-year graduate students at the University of Arizona by more senior graduate students. We provide professional development, networking opportunities, mentoring by faculty, staff, near-peers, and peers, as well as leadership opportunities. Our primary purpose is to provide a community and sense of belonging to graduate students through student success seminars, weekly lunches, monthly dinners, and items that identify them as part of the Grad CAFE community such as t-shirts, water bottles, stickers, etc. Additionally, we provide resources to help them thrive in their graduate education.
